Sandhi–Vigraha in Āpada: The Mouse and the Cat (सन्धिविग्रहापदि—मूषकमार्जारसंवादः)

आरण्यकानू प्रव्रजितान्‌ ब्राह्मणान्‌ परिपूजयन्‌ । अपि तेभ्यो गृहान्‌ गत्वा निनाय सततं वने

āraṇyakānū pravrajitān brāhmaṇān paripūjayan | api tebhyo gṛhān gatvā nināya satataṃ vane ||

Wika ni Bhīṣma: Pinararangalan niya ang mga Brāhmaṇa na naninirahan sa gubat—maging ang mga vānaprastha at ang mga tumalikod sa daigdig—at maging sa kanilang mga tirahan ay pumupunta siya, at palagi niyang dinadalhan ng mga kailangan at pagkain, habang siya mismo’y patuloy na namumuhay sa gubat. Itinatampok ng talatang ito ang disiplinadong payak na pamumuhay na kaakibat ng masiglang paglilingkod sa mga asceta at sa paggalang sa karunungang espirituwal.
