सत्यसेन सुषेणं च द्वाभ्यां द्वाभ्यामविध्यत । शत्रुवीरोंका संहार करनेवाले नकुलने उन बाणोंका निवारण करके सत्यसेन और सुषेणको भी दो-दो बाणोंद्वारा घायल कर दिया
satyasenaṃ suṣeṇaṃ ca dvābhyāṃ dvābhyām avidhyat |
Sabi ni Sañjaya: Tinamaan niya sina Satyasena at Suṣeṇa ng tig-dalawang palaso. Si Nakula—kilala bilang tagapagpabagsak ng mga kampeon ng kaaway—ay nakapigil sa mga palasong dumarating at, sa isang sukat at maingat na pagganti, sinugatan din sina Satyasena at Suṣeṇa ng tig-dalawang palaso, na nagpapakita ng giting na may pagpipigil sa gitna ng kaguluhan ng digmaan.
संजय उवाच
Even in warfare, the ideal warrior acts with discipline: he defends effectively, responds proportionately, and channels strength toward duty rather than uncontrolled rage—an aspect of kṣatriya-dharma.
In the battle described by Sañjaya, Satyasena and Suṣeṇa are each struck with two arrows. Nakula counters by repelling the incoming arrows and then wounds both opponents with two arrows each, demonstrating tactical defense followed by measured counterattack.
