Shloka 163

कर्णवधार्थं धनञ्जयस्य प्रतिज्ञा — Arjuna’s resolve for Karṇa’s defeat

पातयामास तानू्‌ सर्वान्‌ दुष्टहस्तीव हस्तिपान्‌ । तब जैसे दुष्ट हाथी महावतोंको नीचे गिरा देता है, उसी प्रकार भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्णने अपनी दोनों बाँहें झटककर उन सब लोगोंको युद्धके मुहानेपर नीचे गिरा दिया

pātayāmāsa tānū sarvān duṣṭa-hastīva hastipān |

Wika ni Sañjaya: “Ibinagsak niya silang lahat—gaya ng mabangis na elepanteng itinatapon sa lupa ang mga tagapag-alaga nito. Gayon din, si Śrī Kṛṣṇa, sa isang marahas na pag-uga ng dalawang bisig, ay inihagis ang mga taong iyon pabagsak sa bungad mismo ng labanan.”
