Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line

Educational Q&A

The verse underscores trust in truthful, divinely grounded speech: when the Lord (or a supremely authoritative speaker) declares something, it is not to be doubted. Such confidence restores inner peace and supports the maintenance of cosmic order.

After considering what they have heard, the gods become convinced that the threatening demons have been destroyed, because the powerful Lord’s statement cannot be untrue. This realization brings them great satisfaction and reassurance.
