प्रदीपयन् रथे तस्थौ त्रीललोकान् स्वेन तेजसा । खड्ग, धनुष और बाण लेकर शोभा पाते हुए वरदायक महादेवजी अपने तेजसे तीनों लोकोंको प्रकाशित करते हुए रथपर स्थित हो गये
pradīpayan rathe tasthau trīl lokān svena tejasā | khaḍga-dhanuṣ-bāṇān gṛhītvā śobhām āpannaḥ varadāyakaḥ mahādevaḥ svena tejasā trīl lokān pradīpayan rathe tasthau ||
Wika ni Bhīṣma: Si Mahādeva, ang Tagapagkaloob ng biyaya—taglay ang espada, busog, at mga palaso—ay tumindig sa kanyang karwahe, at sa sariling ningning ay pinaliwanag ang tatlong daigdig. Ipinakikita ng tagpong ito ang banal na paghahari sa gitna ng digmaan: ang lakas ay may disiplina at layon, may kakayahang magtanggol at magkaloob ng habag kahit sa larangan ng labanan.
