अकम्पत महाराज भयत्रस्तेव चाड़ना | महाराज! दौड़ते हुए पैदल सैनिकोंके पैरोंकी धमकसे यह पृथ्वी भयभीत अबलाके समान काँपने लगी
sañjaya uvāca | akampata mahārāja bhayatrastā iva cāṇḍanā | mahārāja! dhāvataḥ padātisainikānāṃ pādānāṃ dhamakena iyaṃ pṛthivī bhayabhītā abalā iva kampitum ārabdhā |
Wika ni Sañjaya: O Hari, nagsimulang manginig ang lupa na para bang sinakmal ng takot. O dakilang hari, dahil sa dagundong ng mga paa ng nagtatakbuhang kawal na lakad, yumanig ang lupa na parang isang babaeng walang magawa at nanginginig sa pangamba—larawang nagpapakita ng nakalulunod at nakapag-aalis-taong puwersa ng digmaan.
