Adhyāya 69: Strategic duels under Bhīṣma’s command

वारितो5सि मया तात मुनिभिरव्वेदपारगै: । मा गच्छ संयुगं तेन वासुदेवेन धन्विना

Bhīṣma uvāca |

Vārito ’si mayā tāta munibhir avvedapāragaiḥ |

Mā gaccha saṃyugaṃ tena Vāsudevena dhanvinā ||

Wika ni Bhīṣma: “Mahal kong anak, binalaan ka na—ako at ang mga pantas na ganap na bihasa sa mga Veda. Huwag kang pumasok sa digmaan upang lumaban sa mamamanang si Vāsudeva. Ngunit dahil sa pagkalito, hindi mo pinahalagahan ang mga payong ito.”
