अक्षरब्रह्मयोगः | Akṣara-Brahma-Yoga

The Yoga of the Imperishable Brahman

Educational Q&A

Renunciation (saṁnyāsa) and yoga are not two incompatible paths here: true yoga requires inner renunciation—specifically, giving up ego-driven saṅkalpa (self-serving intentions and possessive claims). Without relinquishing such resolve, one cannot be established as a yogin.

In the midst of the Kurukṣetra context, Arjuna is being instructed about the practical unity of renunciation and disciplined action: the teaching reframes ‘renunciation’ not as mere withdrawal, but as an inner stance that makes righteous action possible.
