Abhimanyu’s Śrāddha; Vyāsa’s Assurance of the Unborn Heir (अभिमन्योः श्राद्धं तथा गर्भरक्षणोपदेशः)

ततः प्रदाय बद्ीर्गा ब्राह्मणाय यदूद्वह | समादह्दगष्य तु वार्ष्णेयी वैराटीमब्रवीदिदम्‌,“यदुकुलभूषण! तत्पश्चात्‌ ब्राह्मणोंको बहुत-सी गौएँ दान देकर कुन्तीने विराटकुमारी उत्तरासे कहा--

tataḥ pradāya bahvīr gā brāhmaṇāya yadūdvaha | samādahdagaṣya tu vārṣṇeyī vairāṭīm abravīd idam |

Sinabi ni Vaiśaṃpāyana: Pagkaraan, matapos magbigay ng maraming baka bilang kawanggawa sa isang brāhmaṇa, si Kuntī—na tumatawag sa bayani ng angkan ng Yādava—ay nagsalita kay Uttarā, ang prinsesa ng Virāṭa, nang ganito.
