धृतराष्ट्र-सत्कारः तथा श्राद्ध-दाने नियमनम् | Honoring Dhṛtarāṣṭra and Regulating Śrāddha-Gifts
धृतराष्ट्र च सम्प्रेक्ष्य सदा भवति दुर्मना: । यद्यपि भीमसेन भी दृढ़ निश्चयके साथ युधिष्ठिरके ही पथका अनुसरण करते थे, तथापि धृतराष्ट्रको देखकर उनके मनमें सदा ही दुर्भावना जाग उठती थी
dhṛtarāṣṭraṃ ca samprekṣya sadā bhavati durmanāḥ | yadyapi bhīmaseno'pi dṛḍha-niścayena yudhiṣṭhirasyaiva patham anusarati, tathāpi dhṛtarāṣṭraṃ dṛṣṭvā tasya manasi sadā durbhāvanā jāgarti |
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Bagaman si Bhīmasena, na may matatag na pasiya, ay patuloy na sumunod lamang sa landas ni Yudhiṣṭhira, sa sandaling masilayan niya si Dhṛtarāṣṭra ay paulit-ulit na dumidilim ang kanyang loob, at may nananatiling masamang loob na gumigising sa kanyang puso.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Outer adherence to a righteous leader and path (following Yudhiṣṭhira) does not automatically erase inner residues of anger and grievance; ethical life requires vigilance over the mind, not merely correct conduct.
In the Ashramavāsika context, as the elders move toward forest life, Bhīma remains aligned with Yudhiṣṭhira’s resolve, yet Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s presence triggers recurring mental distress and hostile feeling in him, reflecting lingering tensions after the great war.
