Pūjya-namaskārya-prakaraṇa

On Those Worthy of Honor and Salutation

त्वां तु शोचामि यो लब्ध्वा ब्राह्माण्यं न बुभूषसे । मतंगने कहा--देवराज! मैं तो यों ही दुःखसे आतुर हो रहा हूँ

tvāṃ tu śocāmi yo labdhvā brāhmaṇyaṃ na bubhūṣase |

Sinabi ni Matanga: “Ako’y nagdadalamhati para sa iyo—sapagkat natamo mo na ang kalagayan at dangal ng pagiging Brahmana, ngunit ayaw mong panindigan at pangalagaan ito. Para sa iyo ako nananaghoy: taglay mo sa kapanganakan ang dapat yakapin sa pamamagitan ng asal, subalit tumatanggi kang ariin at isabuhay ito.”
