अध्याय १६ — शङ्कर-उमा-वरदानम् तथा तण्डि-स्तुतिः (Śaṅkara–Umā Boon-Granting and Taṇḍi’s Hymn)
वेदशास्त्रपुराणोक्ता: पञ्चैता गतय: स्मृता: । त्वत्प्रसादाद्धि लभ्यन्ते न लभ्यन्तेडन्यूथा विभो
vedaśāstrapurāṇoktāḥ pañcaitā gatayaḥ smṛtāḥ | tvatprasādād dhi labhyante na labhyante ’nyathā vibho prabho ||
Ang limang hantungan na binanggit sa mga Veda, sa mga śāstra, at sa mga Purāṇa ay inaalala bilang may ganap na kapangyarihan. Ngunit natatamo lamang ang mga iyon sa pamamagitan ng Iyong biyaya, O Panginoong sumasaklaw sa lahat; hindi natatamo sa ibang paraan.
