अध्याय १६ — शङ्कर-उमा-वरदानम् तथा तण्डि-स्तुतिः (Śaṅkara–Umā Boon-Granting and Taṇḍi’s Hymn)
ज्ञानविज्ञानयुक्तानां निरुपाख्या निरज्जना | कैवल्या या गतिर्देव परमा सा गतिर्भवान्
jñānavijñānayuktānāṁ nirupākhyā nirajjanā | kaivalyā yā gatir deva paramā sā gatir bhavān ||
Wika ni Vāyu: “O Deva, ang sukdulang hantungan na natatamo ng mga may jñāna at vijñāna—malaya sa lahat ng makitid na pangalan gaya ng ‘sārūpya’ at iba pa, walang dungis, at nag-iisa gaya ng kaivalya—ang pinakamataas na layong iyon ay walang iba kundi Ikaw.”
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse identifies the highest liberation (kaivalya)—beyond all describable states and free from impurity—as identical with the divine reality addressed as ‘Deva’. It links liberation to the union of jñāna (scriptural/true knowledge) and vijñāna (direct realization).
Vāyudeva speaks in praise and theological clarification, declaring that the ultimate, indescribable goal sought by spiritually accomplished persons is not merely a state to be reached but the very being of the deity being addressed.
