आधारनिलयोअ<थधाता पुष्पहास: प्रजागर: । ऊर्ध्वग: सत्पथाचार: प्राणद: प्रणव: पण:

bhīṣma uvāca | ādhāra-nilayo 'dhātā puṣpa-hāsaḥ prajāgaraḥ | ūrdhva-gaḥ satpathācāraḥ prāṇa-daḥ praṇavaḥ paṇaḥ ||

Wika ni Bhīṣma: Siya ang tahanan at sandigan ng lahat ng nilalang; umiiral sa Kanyang sarili, na walang tagapaglikha sa ibabaw Niya. Laging gising at ganap na mapagmatyag, Siya’y nagniningning sa banayad na ngiting namumukadkad na tila bulaklak. Naninirahan sa ibabaw ng lahat, Siya ang huwaran at tagapagtaguyod ng asal sa matuwid na landas. Siya ang nagbibigay-buhay—maging sa pagbuhay muli sa mga nabuwal—at Siya mismo ang banal na pantig na Om, ang Isa na nakikitungo sa lahat ng nilalang sa ganap na angkop at makatarungang sukat.
