समन्तपञ्चक-आख्यानम् तथा अक्षौहिणी-प्रमाणनिर्णयः

Samantapañcaka Narrative and the Measure of an Akṣauhiṇī

दर्शन बृहदश्वस्य महर्षेर्भावितात्मन: । युधिष्ठिरस्य चार्तस्य व्यसन परिदेवनम्‌,इसके बाद धर्मराज युधिष्ठिरको शुद्धहृदय महर्षि बृहदश्वका दर्शन हुआ। युधिष्छिरने आर्त होकर उन्हें अपनी दुःखगाथा सुनायी और विलाप किया

darśanaṁ bṛhadaśvasya maharṣer bhāvitātmanaḥ | yudhiṣṭhirasya cārtasya vyasana-paridevanam ||

Pagkaraan nito, si Yudhiṣṭhira, ang Hari ng Dharma, na dinadaganan ng kapahamakan, ay nagkaroon ng pagharap sa dakilang rishi na si Bṛhadaśva, isang pantas na may dalisay at disiplinadong diwa. Sa kanyang dalamhati, isinalaysay niya ang mga sinapit at nanaghoy sa harap nito.
