Shloka 34

Vasiṣṭhasya śokaḥ, Vipāśā–Śatadrū-nāmākaraṇam, Kalmāṣapādasya bhaya-prasaṅgaḥ (Ādi Parva 167)

स च पुत्रो महावीर्यो महातेजा महाबल: । इष्यते यद्विधो राजन्‌ भविता ते तथाविध:,और कहा--'राजन्‌! इस यज्ञसे तुम जैसा पुत्र चाहते हो, वैसा ही तुम्हें होगा। तुम्हारा वह पुत्र महान्‌ पराक्रमी, महातेजस्वी और महाबली होगा”

sa ca putro mahāvīryo mahātejā mahābalaḥ | iṣyate yadvidho rājan bhavitā te tathāvidhaḥ ||

Wika ng brahmana, “O Hari, ang anak na ninanais mo mula sa handog na ito ay ipagkakaloob sa iyo ayon sa mismong anyo ng iyong hangad. Siya’y magiging anak na dakilang bayani—maningning sa ningning at makapangyarihan sa lakas.”
