शिवार्चनविधिः — देवतानां पाशुपतव्रतप्राप्तिः तथा पशुपाशविमोक्षणम् (अध्याय ८०)
तमाहुर्वरदं देवं वारणेन्द्रसमप्रभम् पशुपाशविमोक्षार्थं दर्शयास्मान् महेश्वरम्
tamāhurvaradaṃ devaṃ vāraṇendrasamaprabham paśupāśavimokṣārthaṃ darśayāsmān maheśvaram
Sinabi nila: “Ipakita mo sa amin si Mahēśvara—ang Deva na nagbibigay-biyaya, maningning na tulad ng panginoon ng mga elepante—upang ang mga paśu, ang mga kaluluwang nakagapos, ay mapalaya mula sa pāśa, ang tali ng pagkakatali.”
