प्रणव उवाच न ह्येष भगवान् पत्न्या स्वात्मनो व्यतिरिक्तया / कदाचिद् रमते रुद्रस्तादृशो हि महेश्वरः
praṇava uvāca na hyeṣa bhagavān patnyā svātmano vyatiriktayā / kadācid ramate rudrastādṛśo hi maheśvaraḥ
Wika ni Praṇava: “Ang Pinagpalang Panginoon—si Rudra—ay hindi kailanman nalulugod sa isang ‘asawa’ na hiwalay sa Kanyang sariling Sarili; sapagkat ganyan nga ang Maheśvara.”

It implies a non-dual view: the Lord’s power/consort is not an external second entity but is inseparable from his own Self, pointing to Īśvara as internally complete (pūrṇa) and non-other (ananya).
The verse supports contemplations used in Pāśupata-Śaiva and Purāṇic bhakti-yoga: meditate on Rudra as self-luminous consciousness whose Śakti is not separate—reducing dualistic grasping and stabilizing one-pointed absorption (ekāgratā) in Īśvara.
By presenting Maheśvara as the non-dual Lord whose power is inseparable from himself, it aligns with the Kurma Purana’s synthetic theology where sectarian difference is secondary to the one Īśvara principle honored in both Shaiva and Vaishnava frames.
