यदि स्यात् सूतके सूतिर्मरणे वा मृतिर्भवेत् / शेषेणैव भवेच्छुद्धिरहः शेषे त्रिरात्रकम्
yadi syāt sūtake sūtirmaraṇe vā mṛtirbhavet / śeṣeṇaiva bhavecchuddhirahaḥ śeṣe trirātrakam
Kung sa panahon ng sūtaka (karumihan dahil sa panganganak) ay may isa pang kapanganakan, o sa panahon ng karumihan dahil sa kamatayan ay may isa pang pagkamatay, ang pagdalisay ay makakamtan sa pagbilang lamang ng natitirang bahagi ng umiiral na panahon. Ngunit kung bahagi na lamang ng isang araw ang natitira, ang panahon ng paglilinis ay ituturing na tatlong gabi.
