The Slaying of Śālva and the Destruction of Saubha
This verse states that Gada, Sātyaki, Sāmba and other Yādava heroes attacked and destroyed Śālva’s (Saubha’s) army.
They were cut down in battle—described here as having their shoulders severed—and they fell into the ocean.
They emphasize standing firmly for dharma, protecting what is sacred, and trusting that sincere service and righteous action ultimately overcome aggressive, deceptive opposition.
