Akrūra’s Prayers (Akrūra-stuti): The Lord as Cause of Causes, Virāṭ, and the Goal of All Paths
त्वय्यव्ययात्मन् पुरुषे प्रकल्पिता लोका: सपाला बहुजीवसङ्कुला: । यथा जले सञ्जिहते जलौकसो- ऽप्युदुम्बरे वा मशका मनोमये ॥ १५ ॥
tvayy avyayātman puruṣe prakalpitā lokāḥ sa-pālā bahu-jīva-saṅkulāḥ yathā jale sañjihate jalaukaso ’py udumbare vā maśakā mano-maye
O Puruṣa na di-nauubos na Ātman! Lahat ng mga daigdig, kasama ang mga diyos na tagapangasiwa at siksik sa maraming nilalang, ay nalilikha at nananatili sa loob Mo. Sa loob Mo—saligan ng isip at mga pandama—sila’y gumagalaw tulad ng mga nilalang-tubig na lumalangoy sa dagat, o maliliit na insekto na sumusuot sa bungang udumbara.
This verse states that all worlds, their rulers, and countless beings are contained within the imperishable Supreme Person, just as aquatic life exists within water—indicating Krishna as the all-encompassing shelter.
Akrura uses a vivid analogy to show how innumerable beings can be held within a single support; similarly, the Lord contains all worlds effortlessly, even beyond what the mind can fully grasp.
Remembering that everything rests in the Supreme helps reduce anxiety and ego, encouraging humility, devotion, and trust that one’s life is supported by a higher, all-pervading reality.
