Sutra 8
तस्य पूर्वोत्तरं भागमाचार्यपुरोहितेज्यातोयस्थानं मन्त्रिणश्चावसेयुः पूर्वदक्षिणं भाग्ं महानसं हस्तिशाला कोष्ठागारं च ॥ कZ_०२.४.०८ ॥
tasya pūrvottaraṃ bhāgam ācāryapurohitejyātoyasthānaṃ mantriṇaś cāvaseyuḥ pūrvadakṣiṇaṃ bhāgaṃ mahānasaṃ hastiśālā koṣṭhāgāraṃ ca
Sa hilagang-silangang bahagi nito dapat naroon ang tirahan ng guro (ācārya), tirahan ng kapelyan (purohita), ang lugar ng pagsamba at tubig, at mga tirahan ng mga ministro. Sa timog-silangang bahagi naman dapat naroon ang malaking kusina, mga kuwadra ng elepante, at mga bodega.
