Related Themes: Agni Purana 317 (dīkṣā/abhiṣeka and guru-pūjā subsections in pūjā-vidhi)
It prescribes the sequence and requirement for abhiṣeka: first give the complete due offering (pūrṇā/dakṣiṇā), then perform consecration, along with guru-pūjā supported by substantial gifts (land, cattle, horses, elephants, garments, etc.).
It preserves practical ritual protocol—fees, gifting norms, and guru-honoring—as part of the Purāṇa’s broad coverage of dharma, ceremonial procedure, and the economy of rites (dāna/dakṣiṇā) that underpins successful religious performance.
The verse links siddhi (successful fruition of rites) to completing prescribed offerings and honoring the Guru, implying that proper reciprocity, humility, and support of sacred instruction purify action and remove obstacles to ritual efficacy.
