Related Themes: Agni Purana 317 (Ganapati-yantra/maṇḍala; vighna-nivāraṇa context)
It specifies the color-coding and lotus-like components of a ritual maṇḍala (yellow pericarp and stamens) and instructs that Gaṇapati is to be worshiped at the center of the Vighnamarda maṇḍala.
It preserves precise, implementable ritual-technology—maṇḍala construction, nomenclature, and deity-placement—showing the Agni Purana’s coverage of practical pūjā-vidhi alongside its many other disciplines.
By worshiping Gaṇapati within the “Vighnamarda” (obstacle-crushing) maṇḍala, the rite is aimed at vighna-nivṛtti—removing impediments to auspicious undertakings and stabilizing the efficacy of subsequent rituals.
