आ विष्णुः शिवः स्कन्दो गौरो गौरीलक्ष्मीर्गणादयः अप्_२९८०५१घ् इत्य् आग्नये महापुराणे बालग्रहहरं बालतन्त्रं नाम अष्टनवत्यधिकद्विषततमो ऽध्यायः अथ नवनवत्यधिकद्विशततमो ऽध्यायः ग्रहहृन्मन्त्रादिकम् अग्निर् उवाच ग्रहापहारमन्त्रादीन् वक्ष्ये ग्रहविमर्दनान् हर्षेच्छाभयशोकादिविरुद्धाशुचिभोजनात्

“(Panalangin:) O Viṣṇu, Śiva, Skanda, Gaura, Gaurī, Lakṣmī, at ang mga Gaṇa at iba pa!”—Sa gayon nagwawakas sa Agni Mahāpurāṇa ang Kabanata 298 na tinatawag na Bāla-tantra (Tantrang pangangalaga sa bata), ang tagapag-alis ng mga graha na dumadaplis sa mga bata. Ngayon nagsisimula ang Kabanata 299, hinggil sa mga mantra at kaugnay na pamamaraan sa pag-aalis ng graha. Wika ni Agni: “Ipahahayag ko ang mga mantra at mga paraan upang itaboy ang mga graha—mga pamamaraang dumudurog sa kanilang pagdurusa—(na nagmumula) sa labis na tuwa, pagnanasa, takot, dalamhati at iba pa, at sa pagkain ng hindi angkop o maruming pagkain.”
