Related Themes: Agni Purana 290 (padma/cakra/dala-nyāsa)
It teaches mandala-vinyāsa: the precise placement of emblems and deities (śūla, Sūrya, Aśvins, Vasus, Sādhyas) on specific parts of a lotus-and-wheel ritual diagram, including southern and south-western petals.
Beyond mythology, it preserves operational temple/ritual technology—diagram design, directional assignments, and deity mapping—typical of the Agni Purana’s wide coverage of worship-methods, vastu-alignment, and applied liturgical detail.
Correct directional placement is treated as essential for mantra-siddhi and purity of worship; aligning deities with their prescribed loci is believed to stabilize the rite, remove obstacles, and increase the merit (puṇya) of the practitioner.
