FAQs

It prescribes a Vāstu-śānti sequence: worship specific deities and nidhis, then perform “vāstv-apasāraṇa” from the center of the site, using the recitation cue “sāraṅgāya,” to accomplish bhūta-śuddhi (ritual purification/removal of obstructive presences).

Alongside theology, the Agni Purana preserves applied ritual technology—here, a practical Vāstu manual for defect-removal and site purification—showing its coverage of domestic/architectural rites as part of its encyclopedic scope.

By honoring creator/ordinating deities and sacred rivers, then purifying the space through bhūta-śuddhi, the rite is intended to remove unseen impediments, restore auspiciousness to the dwelling, and support dharmic, unobstructed living and worship.
