शान्तिजापस्ततः कार्यः सर्वकार्यर्थसिद्धिदः ॥ मन्त्रः— त्वं वै सुशान्तिं कुरु लोकनाथ राज्ञः सराष्ट्रस्य च ब्राह्मणानाम् ॥ बालेषु वृद्धेषु गवाङ्गणेषु कन्यासु शान्तिं च पतिव्रतासु ॥

śāntijāpas tataḥ kāryaḥ sarvakāryārthasiddhidaḥ || mantraḥ— tvaṁ vai suśāntiṁ kuru lokanātha rājñaḥ sarāṣṭrasya ca brāhmaṇānām || bāleṣu vṛddheṣu gavāṅgaṇeṣu kanyāsu śāntiṁ ca pativratāsu ||

ต่อจากนั้นพึงทำศานติชปะ (สวดภาวนาเพื่อสันติ) ซึ่งกล่าวกันว่านำความสำเร็จแก่กิจทั้งปวง มนตร์ว่า: “ข้าแต่โลกนาถ โปรดบันดาลสันติอันประเสริฐแก่พระราชา แก่แว่นแคว้น และแก่พราหมณ์ทั้งหลาย ขอให้มีสันติในหมู่เด็กและผู้เฒ่า ในหมู่โคและเรือนชาน ในหมู่กุมารี และในหมู่ภรรยาผู้มีสัตย์ต่อสามี (ปติวรตา) ด้วยเถิด”
