उपवासरतः सम्यगल्पमेध्याशनोऽथवा ॥ दन्तकाष्ठं च सायाह्ने कृत्वा शुद्ध्यर्थमात्मनः।

พึงตั้งมั่นในอุโบสถอดอาหารโดยถูกต้อง; หรือมิฉะนั้นพึงฉันเพียงเล็กน้อยและบริสุทธิ์ แล้วในเวลาเย็นพึงประกอบพิธีใช้ไม้ขัดฟัน (ทันตกาษฐะ) เพื่อชำระตนให้ผ่องใส
