कर्मणा केन शुद्ध्यन्ति अपराधस्य कारिणः ॥ तन्ममाचक्ष्व तत्त्वेन मम प्रीत्या च माधव ॥
karmaṇā kena śuddhyanti aparādhasya kāriṇaḥ || tanmamācakṣva tattvena mama prītyā ca mādhava ||
‘ผู้กระทำความผิดย่อมชำระให้บริสุทธิ์ได้ด้วยกรรมใด? ข้าแต่มาธวะ โปรดตรัสบอกข้าพเจ้าตามความจริง ด้วยความเมตตารักใคร่ต่อข้าพเจ้าด้วย’
