Paingala Upanishad 26 — Verse 26

mameti badhyate jantur nirmameti vimucyate | manaso hy unmanī-bhāve dvaitaṃ naivopalabhyate ||26||

A creature is bound by (the notion) “mine”; by “not-mine” it is released. For, when the mind is in the state of unmanī, duality is not perceived at all.

Mamakāra as bondage; unmanī (mind-transcendence) and nonduality (advaita)Mahavakya: Supports the purport of “अयम् आत्मा ब्रह्म (ayam ātmā brahma)” and “तत् त्वम् असि (tat tvam asi)” by indicating that duality is a mental superimposition that ceases when mind is transcended.AtharvaChandas: Anuṣṭubh (śloka)
