ऋतवागुवाच । सुव्रतेन पुरा वेदा अधीता विधिना मया । समाप्य विद्या विधवत्कृतो दारपरिग्रहः

ṛtavāguvāca | suvratena purā vedā adhītā vidhinā mayā | samāpya vidyā vidhavatkṛto dāraparigrahaḥ

ฤตวากกล่าวว่า: กาลก่อน ข้าพเจ้าถือพรตมั่นคง ศึกษาพระเวทตามระเบียบพิธี เมื่อสำเร็จวิชาตามควรแล้ว จึงรับภรรยาโดยชอบธรรม เข้าสู่อาศรมคฤหัสถ์
