चंद्र उवाच । यदि प्रसन्नो देवेश वरार्हो यदि वाऽप्यहम् । सोमनाथेति तं नाम भूयाद्ब्रह्मावधि प्रभो
caṃdra uvāca | yadi prasanno deveśa varārho yadi vā'pyaham | somanātheti taṃ nāma bhūyādbrahmāvadhi prabho
จันทรากล่าวว่า “โอ้เทวราชา หากพระองค์ทรงพอพระทัย และหากข้าพเจ้าคู่ควรแก่พรด้วยแล้ว ข้าแต่พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ขอให้นามนั้นเป็น ‘โสมนาถ’ ดำรงอยู่ตราบสิ้นกาลแห่งพรหมา”
