viśāle tu kṛte devyā locane viṣṇudarśanāt | viśālākṣī tato jātā tatrasthā daityanāśinī

เมื่อพระเทวีทอดพระเนตรพระวิษณุแล้วทรงเบิกพระเนตรให้กว้างไพศาล นับแต่นั้นทรงเป็นที่รู้จักนามว่า “วิศาลักษี”; ประทับ ณ ที่นั้น ทรงเป็นผู้ทำลายเหล่าไทตยะทั้งหลาย
