ท่าน้ำศักดิ์สิทธิ์นี้เป็นมหาตีรถะ ทำลายบาปทั้งปวง ยังบรรเทาความเหนื่อยล้า ได้รับการชำระให้บริสุทธิ์โดยพระวิษณุ และชำระมลทินหนักอย่างพรหมหัตยาเป็นต้นได้ด้วย
