तेन ज्वालासमूहेन व्याप्तं कुण्डं चतुर्दिशम् । तप्तोदकुण्डमभवत्तेन ख्यातं धरातले
tena jvālāsamūhena vyāptaṃ kuṇḍaṃ caturdiśam | taptodakuṇḍamabhavattena khyātaṃ dharātale
ด้วยหมู่เปลวเพลิงนั้น สระกุณฑ์แผ่ไปทั้งสี่ทิศ จึงได้ชื่อว่า “ตัปโตทกุณฑะ” และด้วยเหตุนั้นจึงเลื่องลือไปทั่วแผ่นดิน
