Śiva (Īśvara)
Type: peak
Scene: Śiva assumes a majestic elephant form; the sages worship with offerings and hymns; they guide the divine elephant to a high, auspicious place; the world’s colors brighten as joy returns.
Atonement is completed through sincere worship; when the divine is pleased, harmony and joy return to the world.
The “exalted place” is within the Prabhāsa sacred landscape, setting up the later mention of Saṅgāleśvara’s vicinity.
Ārādhana (propitiatory worship) of Śiva is indicated as the means of rectifying offense and restoring auspiciousness.
