īśvara uvāca | pitāmahavacaḥ śrutvā bāḍhamityeva sāgaraḥ | brāhmaṇebhyaḥ suratnāni dadau śraddhā samanvitaḥ

อีศวรตรัสว่า: ครั้นได้สดับวาจาของปิตามหะ (พรหมา) แล้ว มหาสมุทรตอบว่า “บาฑัม—เป็นเช่นนั้นเถิด” และด้วยศรัทธาอันพร้อมพรั่ง ได้ถวายรัตนะอันประเสริฐแก่เหล่าพราหมณ์
