aśvamedhasahasrāṇāṃ sahasraṃ yaḥ samācaret | nāsau tatphalamāpnoti vapanādyacca labhyate

แม้ผู้ใดจะประกอบอัศวเมธยัญพันคูณพัน ก็ยังไม่อาจบรรลุผลอันได้จากวปนะ (การโกนผม) ตามวัตรที่กำหนด ณ ตีรถะ
