सूर्य उवाच । मा ब्रह्मन्साहसं कार्षीर्वरं वरय सुव्रत । अप्राप्यमपि दास्यामि यत्ते मनसि वर्तते
sūrya uvāca | mā brahmansāhasaṃ kārṣīrvaraṃ varaya suvrata | aprāpyamapi dāsyāmi yatte manasi vartate
พระสุริยตรัสว่า “โอ้พราหมณ์ อย่ากระทำโดยหุนหันพลันแล่นเลย โอ้ผู้มีศีลวัตรอันงาม จงเลือกพรเถิด แม้สิ่งที่ได้มายาก เราก็จักประทาน—สิ่งใดก็ตามที่สถิตอยู่ในใจของท่าน”
