taṃ dṛṣṭvā mānavo devi pauṃḍarīkaphalaṃ labhet | saptajanmani dāridryaṃ na duḥkhaṃ tatra jāyate
Īśvara (Śiva)
Tirtha: Kratvīśvara (within Prabhāsakṣetra)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Devī
Scene: A pilgrim couple approaches a Śiva-liṅga shrine at Prabhāsa; the liṅga radiates a calm halo while attendants offer bilva and lamps; the sea-breeze and conch-sounds suggest the coastal kṣetra; the devotee’s face shows relief as the promise of freedom from poverty and sorrow is proclaimed to Devī.
Darśana at a powerful Śaiva tirtha is said to bestow both ritual merit (kratu-phala) and sustained well-being, linking devotion with dharmic prosperity.
Kratvīśvara in Prabhāsa Kṣetra.
Darśana (beholding the deity) is explicitly stated; the benefit is equated to the Pauṇḍarīka sacrifice’s fruit.
