देव्युवाच । इदं देयमिदं देयमिति प्रोक्तं तु यच्छ्रुतौ । दानादानविशेषांस्तु श्रोतुमिच्छामि तत्त्वतः
devyuvāca | idaṃ deyamidaṃ deyamiti proktaṃ tu yacchrutau | dānādānaviśeṣāṃstu śrotumicchāmi tattvataḥ
พระเทวีตรัสว่า: ในคัมภีร์ศรุติกล่าวซ้ำแล้วซ้ำเล่าว่า ‘สิ่งนี้พึงให้ทาน สิ่งนี้พึงให้ทาน’ ข้าพเจ้าปรารถนาจะสดับโดยแท้จริงถึงความจำแนกแห่งทาน และสิ่งที่ไม่ควรให้ทานด้วย
