वैश्वदेवेन हीना ये हीनाश्चातिथ्यतोऽपि ये । कर्मणा सर्ववृषला वेदयुक्ता ह्यपि द्विजाः

vaiśvadevena hīnā ye hīnāścātithyato'pi ye | karmaṇā sarvavṛṣalā vedayuktā hyapi dvijāḥ

ผู้ที่ละเลยการบูชาไวศวเทวะ และผู้ที่บกพร่องในการต้อนรับอาคันตุกะ—ด้วยการประพฤติย่อมเป็นดุจวฤศละ (คนต่ำ) ทั้งสิ้น แม้จะเป็นทวิชะและแม้มีความรู้พระเวทก็ตาม
