daśahayasamā kanyā bhūmidānaṃ tato'dhikam | tasmātsarvaprayatnena vikrayaṃ naiva kārayet

การให้บุตรีเป็นทาน (กัญญาทาน) มีค่าเท่าม้าสิบตัว; แต่การถวายที่ดินยิ่งประเสริฐกว่านั้น. เพราะฉะนั้นพึงพยายามทุกประการ ไม่ให้มีการขาย (พระเวทหรือของศักดิ์สิทธิ์)
