दर्व्यादिस्थेन नो तेषां संबन्धो दृश्यते यतः । यश्च शूकरवद्भुंक्ते यश्च पाणितले द्विजः । न तदश्नंति पितरो यः सवाचं समश्नुते
darvyādisthena no teṣāṃ saṃbandho dṛśyate yataḥ | yaśca śūkaravadbhuṃkte yaśca pāṇitale dvijaḥ | na tadaśnaṃti pitaro yaḥ savācaṃ samaśnute
เพราะเมื่อกินโดยถือทัพพีและเครื่องมืออื่น ๆ อยู่ ความสัมพันธ์อันถูกต้องกับพิธีไม่ปรากฏ และผู้ใดกินดุจหมูป่า หรือทวิชผู้กินจากฝ่ามือ—รวมทั้งผู้กินไปพูดไป—อาหารเช่นนั้นปิตฤทั้งหลายไม่รับส่วน
