अहतं धातुरक्तं वा तत्पवित्रमिति स्थितम् । अग्रतो वसते मूर्खो दूरे चास्य गुणान्वितः

ahataṃ dhāturaktaṃ vā tatpavitramiti sthitam | agrato vasate mūrkho dūre cāsya guṇānvitaḥ

ผ้าที่ยังไม่เคยสวม หรือผ้าที่染ด้วยสีแร่ธาตุ ย่อมถือว่าเป็นของบริสุทธิ์ แต่คนเขลามักนั่งใกล้ตรงหน้า ส่วนผู้มีคุณธรรมกลับอยู่ห่างไกล
