ईश्वर उवाच । शृणु देवि प्रवक्ष्यामि सावित्र्याश्चरितं महत् । यथा सा ब्रह्मणा त्यक्ता गायत्री च विवाहिता
īśvara uvāca | śṛṇu devi pravakṣyāmi sāvitryāścaritaṃ mahat | yathā sā brahmaṇā tyaktā gāyatrī ca vivāhitā
