ईश्वर उवाच । ततो गच्छेन्महादेवि सावित्रीं लोकमातरम् । महा पापप्रशमनीं सोमेशादीशदिक्स्थिताम्

อีศวรตรัสว่า: ต่อจากนั้น โอ้มหาเทวี พึงไปยังสาวิตรี ผู้เป็นมารดาแห่งโลกทั้งปวง ผู้ระงับบาปหนักทั้งหลาย ซึ่งสถิตอยู่ในทิศที่เริ่มจาก (ทิศของ) โสมेशะเป็นต้น
