कल्पभेदेन नामानि तथैव सुरसुन्दरि । निरुक्तभेदैर्बहुधा भिद्यंते कारणैः प्रिये । प्रभासमिति यन्नाम दातव्यं निश्चलं स्मृतम्

kalpabhedena nāmāni tathaiva surasundari | niruktabhedairbahudhā bhidyaṃte kāraṇaiḥ priye | prabhāsamiti yannāma dātavyaṃ niścalaṃ smṛtam

โอ้สุรสุนทรี ด้วยความแตกต่างแห่งกัลปะ นามทั้งหลายก็แปรไปเช่นนั้น โอ้ที่รัก ด้วยความต่างแห่งนิรุกตะ (รากศัพท์/นิรุกติ) จึงแยกเป็นหลายอย่างตามเหตุปัจจัยต่าง ๆ แต่ชื่อนามที่ควรประทานอย่างมั่นคงคือ “ประภาสะ” นี้แลถือว่าไม่แปรเปลี่ยน
