Īśvara (Śiva)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra (contextual) / Sūrya-sthāpana-sthala (Sāmba tradition)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Devī
Scene: Sāmba, strong yet afflicted with leprosy, stands in penitence; he installs a radiant Sūrya image while attendants and sages witness; a new city rises in the background.
Even suffering born of a curse can become a doorway to dharma—devotion and sacred installation of the deity transform adversity into a tīrtha-creating act.
Prabhāsakṣetra’s broader setting is in view, and the verse specifically points to the founding of Sāmbapura and the establishment of a Sūrya presence there.
Saṃsthāpana (installation/establishment) of Sūrya is indicated; details of the rite are not given in this verse.
